so close, but one encoding problem
Thanks to this list, I have my SOAP client happily running along, with one
minor glitch. The responses I get for BabelFish translations don't look
right in a browser because of encoding problems, but I *do* set the encoding
URI in my request. Anybody know how I can fix this?
Here's a sample for trying to translate "how are you?" from English to
Spanish
request:
[Header=null] [methodName=BabelFish] [targetObjectURI=urn:xmethodsBabelFish]
[encodingStyleURI=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/]
[SOAPContext=[Parts={}]] [Params={[[name=translationmode] [type=class
java.lang.String]
[value=en_es] [encodingStyleURI=null]], [[name=sourcedata] [type=class
java.lang.String] [value=how are you?] [encodingStyleURI=null]]}]
response:
[Header=null] [methodName=BabelFish] [targetObjectURI=urn:xmethodsBabelFish]
[encodingStyleURI=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/]
[SOAPContext=[Parts={[cid:null type: text/xml enc: null]}]]
[return=[name=return] [type=class java.lang.String] [value=c+¦mo es usted?]
[encodingStyleURI=null]]
[Params={}]
(Note the bad encoding in the value field)
