Catalina SSL failure

I read responses to the post:

http://www.mail-archive.com/tomcat-user@jakarta.apache.org/msg30333.html

with great interest. I followed them step-by-step, but my loading of tomcat/catalinas default https page still fails.

All I get when entering http://localhost:8443 is a blank page with 5 small squares in the top left hand corner!

I have seen others with this problem but no answer to it!

Any ideas or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

matt

You need to use https://localhost:8443. Note, the "s" after "http". I've
done that on accident a few times myself. What's up with those 5 little
squares anyways? I would have expected it to print an error instead. A bug
in IE? I get an error message when I try it with Netscape, which is what I
would have expected.
