Size of the tree (DOM) in memory (Xerces-C++)

Hello everybody,

these days I'm writing my thesis. The topic deals with XML. I selected 
Xerces-C++ parser
to get information out of a database (XML). Because it is the first time 
I'm working with
XML i need some help.
Has anybody experience with the size of a DOM-Tree, which is created by 
Xerces-C++,
depending of the size of a document?
