[GitHub] [arrow-datafusion] MichaelScofield opened a new issue, #4552: user-defined aggregate function as window function

MichaelScofield opened a new issue, #4552:
URL: https://github.com/apache/arrow-datafusion/issues/4552

   **Is your feature request related to a problem or challenge? Please describe what you are trying to do.**

   Currently DataFusion only supports window functions that are either pre-defined in `BuiltInWindowFunction`, or other built-in aggregate functions in `AggregateFunction`. It'll be better if people could use "user-defined aggregate function (UDAF)" as window function.

   **Describe the solution you'd like**

   Make window function accepts udaf like this:

   ```Rust
   enum WindowFunction {
       AggregateFunction(AggregateFunction),
       BuiltInWindowFunction(BuiltInWindowFunction),
       // new enum variant, define the udaf that is being used as window function
       AggregateUDF(Arc<AggregateUDF>),
   }
   ```

   And trying to find the corresponding udaf from context(`ContextProvider`) when interpreting window logical plan.

   **Describe alternatives you've considered**

   **Additional context**
