ApacheCon Big Data

Hi all,

I'm may submit a talk to ApacheCon Big Data on BigPetStore. Is anyone else
submitting anything?

Looks like we have ~6 talks so far for bigtop.

Saw the Jira for addition of cloud benchmark component, might be good to phrase talk around data generators, test data sets, and load testing, etc, using bigpetstore as example generator and things that can be done with the data output.

invitation is still open for him ;)

That would be awesome if Michael could attend, assume he was customer you
worked with? If so make sure to add some notes about that in talk
submission, think its great to have use cases like that of
customers/companies leveraging and getting value out of ASF/Bigtop vs. going
with some commercial/proprietary solution

Hi

I updated my proposal. Maybe I can arrange Michael Weiser can attend, too,
since he did most of the technical input.

Here is doc setup to track the event details, including possible talks and any other group details:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dIg6-IJqWB6sZ1SLns7drhB4MPiGQ9XhwPySYSbNHTw/edit?usp=sharing

@cos, @olaf, added your talks to the list, edit/add as you see fit

Anyone else add any other talks already submitted or thinking of submitting. I added a note that the "toolchain overview" talk I submitted can either be removed or we can possibly just make that Evans talk he proposed around CI/containers/etc
