Hooking up a portal to the pluto 1.1 stream

Is there any documentation on how to do this, or any implementations
besides the Pluto portal itself? Do I just have to make my own
implementations of the classes in org.apache.pluto.driver.services?

 

In addition, is there a (rough) timeline for 1.1?

 

Any pointers would be appreciated.
