Devoxx 2010

Hi folks,

next week is Devoxx in Antwerp. Who is actually there?

I'll be there for 3 days from Wednesday to Friday. Hope to meet some
Tapestry folks.

So is James Gosling, creator of Java [?]
And the Spec Lead of Java EE 6, Roberto also withdrew his participation.

The only non-US Individual JCP Executive Committee Member (SE/EE) being me
is also not able to come, as I work in India till arond Christmas.

However, Google EC-member Josh Bloch and Juergen Hoeller (not in the EC, but
he's the 'true founder' of Spring Framework although he tends to be a little
more in the background[?]) seem to be there. And Stephen Colebourne. So a few
people trying to get Java EE going should be there. And Oracle even touts it
to be a "Great European Java Event" despite earlier lawsuits aginst it when
it was still called JavaPolis[?]

Those who are there, try to attend the round table "Future of Java"
including Stephen Colebourne, JCP EC Member Josh Bloch and others, which may
also shed light on the recently filed Java JSRs for SE7 and beyond.

Josh may not be allowed to speak so freely, as is the Oracle representative
for obvious reasons, but it should still allow room for an interesting
discussion about present and future issues of Java and how to best solve it.
If I was there I would probably be on that, too, but at least one or two EC
members are again at DevoXX (after last year's ignorance of the JCP[?])

For the place, we can meet at lunch time on the front door stairs. (in the
entry)
We can meet there before or after catching a sandwich :) (13:00, 13:15,
