I receive following errors when running $ hdfs namenode -format
15/10/30 12:34:18 INFO namenode.NameNode: registered UNIX signal handlers for [TERM, HUP, INT]
15/10/30 12:34:18 INFO namenode.NameNode: createNameNode [-format]
[Fatal Error] core-site.xml:31:1: XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.
15/10/30 12:34:19 FATAL conf.Configuration: error parsing conf core-site.xml
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; systemId: file:/usr/local/Cellar/hadoop/2.7.1/libexec/etc/hadoop/core-site.xml; lineNumber: 31; columnNumber: 1; XML document structures must start and end within the same entity.
core-site.xml looks like this:
