5.1's linux daemon service config ...
Can somebody point me to the equivalent of
/apache-activemq-5.0.0/bin/linux/activemq
(running as linux daemon thread:
http://activemq.apache.org/java-service-wrapper.html)
that uses the /apache-activemq-5.1.0/bin/linux-x86-32/wrapper.conf ?
(there is no /apache-activemq-5.1.0/bin/linux-x86-32/activemq )
Thanks!

ah.. just copy the activemq script from bin/macosx to bin/linux-x86-32
it's the same for both. I'll get that fix for the 5.2 release asap.
created https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/AMQ-1728 to track.

JSW has some nice features (e.g., heartbeat).

probably works with 5.1 with some modifications. We don't need 5.1 right
away, so I will get to it later, if its not addressed.

you have two options
1. the java service wrapper runs on unix too, you can get the wrapper
itself from
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org
2. just write your own shell scripts to manage start/stop of the
activeMQ program, this is a fairly trivial exercise on unix systems

Re: 5.1's linux daemon service config ...
Posted by shaf <sh...@gmail.com>.
In the absence of "./bin/linux-x86-32/activemq", I copied the one that exists
in the macosx directory but found a problem. When I startup ActiveMQ 5.1.0
this way I cannot browse the queue using the DestinationSource object, it
always return a null. When I try the same starting AMQ using the
"./bin/activemq start", I cna browse the queue using
DestinationSource????????
Has anyone looked into this yet??
thanks,
shaf.
