problems getting Tomcat to run in Win 98

Hi,
I downloaded Tomcat but I can't get it to run.
I'm using Windows 98.
When I run the build script I see the following in my shell:
OFF
so I removed the echo line and the REM lines from the build.bat
file and retried. Now it tells me:

Buildfile: build.xml
Detected Java Version: 1.1
Project base dir set to: C:\Jakarta-src\jakarta-tomcat
BUILD FATAL ERROR: Target `
' does not exist in this project.

Please help,
Thanks,
Sher

I saw the same thing on 98, believe it is UNIX line endings. I fixed it
by opening with the "edit" command in a DOS prompt and immediately
re-saving.
