multiple HDFS supergroups?

Hi experts

I am wondering if HDFS supergroup could contain more than one group? The current config is hdfs and I tried to change it to "hdfs,OTHERGROUP" but it seems does not work for me - so I guess only one group instance could exist in this configuration?
