Howard, could you please have another look at this? Rewriting works for all {{asset:}} bindings, buit-in (like {{classpath}} and {{context}}) or user-defined. It will not work for custom *binding* prefixes though if that's what you meant. Nevertheless, I think it would be an improvement if it worked for assets.
