Synopsis: #set and #echo don't interpolate variable names

State-Changed-From-To: open-closed

State-Changed-When: Wed May 5 14:26:39 PDT 1999
State-Changed-Why:

Do you see anything in the documentation that indicates
this should be happening? These directives work directly
with variable names, not their equivalence values.
If you really want to see this functionality added to
Apache, please reply; otherwise this issue will be
considered closed. Thanks for reporting it, though, and
for using Apache!
