Registry.pm return status patch not applied in 1.21_02 or cvs

Hi.

I submitted this patch in January and got a positive response for that
solution or something similar to it.  It is not applied (or addressed)
in 1.21_02 or cvs.  The original thread is archived at

thanks again, i applied this to the cvs tree a few days ago.
