Apache Jakarta Slide Extend - HELP WANTED URGENT!!!

I have downloaded, configured apache slide (and tomcat)...

how can I extend slide in a way that it does the following:

1.	Extend Slide (in any way you see fit) so that it would be able to do
the following:

a.	When retrieving the file:

http://<basepath>/doc1.xml

via WebDAV the following XML is returned:

     <record>

            <name>[some name]</name>

            <value type="alpha">[some value]</value>

      </record>

There is no need to perform validation on the XML if it is modified. For
all intents and purposes, the "XML" can be treated as text.

b.	Likewise, when retrieving the file:

http://<basepath>/doc2.xml

via WebDAV the following XML is returned:

     <record>

            <name>[some name]</name>

            <value type="alpha">[some value]</value>

      </record>

As with doc1.xml, the "XML" can effectively be treated as text.

c.	When retrieving the file:

http://<basepath>/combined.xml

via WebDAV the following XML is returned:

     <records>

            [contents of doc1.xml]

            [contents of doc2.xml]

      </records>

When checking out combined.xml all three documents (combined.xml, doc1.xml
and doc2.xml) should be automatically checked out. If doc1.xml or doc2.xml
has already been checked out then the checkout for combined.xml should fail.
Likewise, when checking in combined.xml, then doc1.xml or doc2.xml should be
automatically checked in. Finally, if either <record> in combined.xml is
modified then the contents of doc1.xml or doc2.xml should be updated as
appropriate. In other words, combined.xml doesn't actually exist. It is a
virtual file.

Job is on the line......any help will be appreciated. I need to get it done
by tomorrow.

Thanks

I don't know of any store which serves 'virtual' files in slide.
Am not sure using interceptors would be a good solution.

So I'll suggest you create a store which delegate to any existing store
and adds it's own behaviour to some node (the decorator design pattern).

It's not 'easy', but i suppose that's how it should be done.
