Robbie,
The clear filter confirmation dialog is only displayed when the are more then 4 non-empty filter conditions. If a user enters empty filter conditions in a filter dialog, those conditions are ignored and not accounted. I did a slight modification in a revision 1531965 to remove empty filter conditions when filter box is displayed again.
