1. JDO 3.1: Need to go through change lists in JIRA for 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 to prepare JCP Change Log

The new state transition table entries for refresh after remote modification and refresh after remote deletion uncovered some anomalies in the current specification. 

AI: review patch; download and install patch and verify what happens. 
AI: Tillmann please update the JIRA with the results you currently get with 3.1.

The issue with java 8 time types with type-safe query could be resolved by:

changing the name of jdo.next to jdo 4.0 which requires java 8 and includes type-safe queries.
