[jira] [Created] (FINERACT-1463) Should not permit transfers between accounts of a different currency
Thomas Kerin created FINERACT-1463:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Should not permit transfers between accounts of a different currency
Key: FINERACT-1463
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-1463
Project: Apache Fineract
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Accounting
Affects Versions: 1.5.0
Reporter: Thomas Kerin
In one scenario I created two savings products, each denominated in a different currency (say, EUR + USD) Then I created two users, one having an account in one currency, the other has the different currency.
I was able to set the other user up as a beneficiary and transfer 1.00 EUR from the EUR Savings Product into the USD Savings Product.
I raised this on the ML first and it was suggested to open an issue.
Bharath suggested and I certainly agree that we should add an option to disable such transactions where the currency differs between accounts. This would prevent the issue until there is a Currency Exchange rate service & FX capabilities built into Fineract
