How do I access global sitemap variables within flow or jxpath?

Hello list,

How do I access global sitemap variables within flow or jxpath?

i would like, for instance, to access a global sitemap variable from 
within a JX template with somthing like this:

${cocoon.global.my-global-variable}

but I can't figure out the correct syntax.
