Konstantine Karantasis resolved KAFKA-9707.

    Resolution: Fixed

This fix was merged in time so it will be available in 2.5.0 and 2.4.2, 2.3.2, 2.2.3, 2.1.2, 2.0.2, 1.1.2, 1.0.3
