Thrift upgrades to 0.11.0 has some changes related to C++ stubs - [https://github.com/apache/thrift/blob/0.11.0/CHANGES]

To mitigate an unrelated issue, I upgraded to 0.11.0 and its working ok. I think we should move the develop branch to the latest thrift release.
