batik and osx / web page with batik samples in png?

hi,

i am still waiting for the day i can use batik on my mac os x system. i 
just tried the most recent cvs build of batik on Apple's recently 
pre-release 1.3.1 JDK (through Apple Developer Connection).

As it seems, OSX is still not able to run batik correctly. When running 
the Batik SVG Rasterizer on the comand line the system regularly comes up 
with "kCGSErrorFailure : CGGStackRestore: gstack underflow." error 
messages and the resulting images are clipped.

Funny enough, the clipping is different when using batik-1.0 binary 
distribution. But the problem lies at Apple: the 1.3 JDK of the 10.0.4 
version produced _distorted_ images. Now they are "only" clipped.

Has anybody set up a web page with the Batik 1.0 samples images being 
rendered correctly? this would help tracing if Apple gets it right one 
day.
