What about gump's output? Shouldn't it generate the nightly builds? (I'm
still confused between the relationship of gump and the NBs).

I have tried to setup it for the taglibs project in the past, but at
that time  I gave up.

No, it shouldn't since Gump runs code from arbitrary places, so
anything it produces is highly untrusted.

We have some pages about nightly builds in Gump's Wiki.

If you look at the Gump descriptor file for Cactus, you should see the
following elements for each project in the cactus module:

     <jar name="lib/cactus-@@DATE@@.jar"/>

This line tells Gump what is the output of the project (there can be several
such lines for a project).

Then Gump copies those files to
http://brutus.apache.org/gump/public-jars/jakarta-cactus/jars/

In the past, Sam Ruby also had a script that was copying the distribution
generated by the Cactus Ant build to our nightly directory
http://cvs.apache.org/nightly/jakarta-cactus/
