Excerpt using Jackrabbit 2.1

Hi, 

I am looking for a way to query Excerpt in Jackrabbit 2.1 with JCR 2.0 API,
preferably using QueryObjectModel.

I have read http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/ExcerptProvider. I prefer to
use QueryObjectModel and have no idea how to create a selector of "excerpt".
If to use SQL2, then how do I join excerpt with the nt:resource I am
querying for?

Please help to give me some direction to look into.

I found documentation for Jackrabbit 2.0 is lacking, and most of the
examples (jackrabbit-webapp) is still using deprecated old API.

I have read Spec of JCR 2.0 as well, but I did not find it talk much about
query part. 

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
