if you are using hdp, you might want to use hdp maven artifacts; available from (http://repo.hortonworks.com/content/repositories/releases/)

I think you are looking for this artifact
http://repo.hortonworks.com/content/repositories/releases/org/apache/hive/hive-serde/0.14.0.2.2.0.0-2041/
I'm guessing you are using hadoop 2 and it seems to me that hadoop2 doesnt have a hadoop-core...instead there is hadoop-common, hadoop-hdfs - not sure which one would be usefull for you...but they are available:
