[jira] [Created] (HADOOP-8798) User created during the installation of the .deb Package is not the default from the hadoop-setup-* Scripts

Ingo Rauschenberg created HADOOP-8798:
-----------------------------------------

             Summary: User created during the installation of the .deb Package is not the default from the hadoop-setup-* Scripts
                 Key: HADOOP-8798
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8798
             Project: Hadoop Common
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 1.0.3
         Environment: Debian Squeeze; 64 Bit; Oracle Java 6;
            Reporter: Ingo Rauschenberg
            Priority: Trivial

In the script "hadoop.preinst" from the .DEB Package where two users createt (hdfs and mapred).

In the scripts hadoop-setup-conf.sh and hadoop-setup-hdfs.sh the default value for --mapreduce-user is mr.

I think it would be more userfrindly if the preinst script create mr and not mapred or if the default value is mapred and not mr.
