How do we update the Status page?

PPMC members... and Mentors

I think it's time we updated the status page; we have news, planned
milestone releases, formation of the PPMC, and more things ticked off than
currently shown on the page.

How do we do this (where are the page files to edit) ?
Can I do it?

The PPMC obviously needs to be involved; but I have just read over on the
incubator list that the model "commit first, discuss later".

Thoughts?
John

Is there anyway to do it without using SSH?

No, that would be bad. Next time someone updates things properly, it
would get wiped out. It's also not properly versioned and tracked.

The proper way is to svn checkout:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/public/trunk/
and follow the instructions in the README.txt. When done and committed,
then login to people.apache.org and "svn update"
in /www/incubator.apache.org/projects.
