1.3.26

Hi all,

I've commited a fix to proxy which allows it to handle the
unexpected-100-continue case that caused it to break when viewing sites
like Hotmail. In addition, fixes were committed to fix the dechunking
support, and so far the proxy seems to work quite well.

Is it possible to create a 1.3.26 release which includes all the proxy
fixes to date?

Regards,
Graham

I would like to see this go in to 1.3. I will volunteer my time to see
that this happens (the patch is there, it just needs to be merged), if
I can get enough support. I realize this might be considered a feature,
but I think it is something that is needed and will be very useful for
those who are stuck on 1.3 for the time being.

The URL in the bug report (http://lizzy.dyndns.org/~jos/apache-1.3.24-daemontools.patch)

appears bogus.

Anyone interested in picking this up before the next (last?) 1.3 release?

Please? Thanks!

It would be even better if the patch were integrated so we wouldn't have to do
the version chase every time :-) Now when the next version comes out and the
patch doesn't apply I'll have to resubmit another bugreport.

That's not a showstopper to rolling .26 - but if someone would update that
patch
in contrib it would be appreciated by many, I'm sure.

http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=7628

But while you mention it... the bug report below has a trivial correct fix,
but I don't
have the time to fight my OSX builds right now;

The report is pretty vague... but it seems their problem is either the
unexpected-100-continue issue, or it could be the lack of dechunking
issue (thus the "0") - or even both at the same time.

I've been testing proxy against hotmail (which throws unexpected
100-continues) which uses lots of POSTs, and everything works fine.

Is this bug http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8242
resolved with the other proxy fixes?
