ServletContext and PortletContext

Hi All
 
Suppose I have a PortletContext instance as "pctx".
 
If I put "pctx" to ServletContext as setAttribute("pctx", pctx);
 
Will this PortletContext instance be availabe till the server stops? I have some doubts here if I put this instance today and after 1 month or more does this object available...
