UK based servlet hosting

Dear All,

Can anyone recommend any UK based companies providing managed Linux web
servers?

I will want to run Tomcat and Cocoon on this server.

Our two main requirements are reliability (we will need our server to be able to
handle some serious spikes (particularly in bad weather!)), and we need good
speedy technical support.

Is anyone able to give me any pointers, and personal recommendations?

Regards, Upayavira

We use EdNet which do managed Linux servers, though we manage our own
co-lo with them.

We've found their support very good.

Stuart.

Thanks Alex. I've actually come across Positive before. Does anyone know of any
other companies - not necessarily specialising in Tomcat support?

Positive Internet are a company worth looking at. They offer the whole
range of Linux boxes from
budget u-mode virtual machines which can have tomcat and cocoon
pre-installed to fully managed get them to do anything boxes.

They are quite keen to promote open source and not many hosting companies
will say that.

try www.positive-internet.com and http://www.positive-internet.com/fms.html

If you do go with them tell them that I sent you :-)
