   Hey mu, thanks for your contribution. Before we move ahead, could you give a bit of context what the link checker exactly does?
   
   I'd want to avoid that we ping websites during this process as this creates a high load on the CI and could be perceived as malicious for the website owners, considering the frequency of CI executions.
