After refactoring the project code base, the continuum server failed to build the Ant project. It found more files than were contained in the project, even though the Ant project 'cleaned' the directories it used. This caused the build to fail due to the extraneous java files.
Examining directory 'Continuum/apps/working-directory/XX' it became aparent that some old directories no longer in CVS had not been removed.
Cleaning out the 'Continuum/apps/working-directory/XX' caused Continuum to download the files into a clean environment and build correctly.
