[users@httpd] Apache Logfilename + Date

Hi there,

I want apache to use a logfilename that includes year and month. Is there a
possibility to configure it?

Now it's:

CustomLog logs/access.log common

I want something like:

CustomLog logs/access$year$month.log common

which creates logs like:

logs/access200307.log

Thanks in advance,

Harry

I started using it with 1.3.14 and then converted to 2.0.39 with no changes
to cronolog. It has been working fine for 4 months.

I just went to look at that and saw there was a windows version,

but in the todo entries there was a line about getting cronolog to work
with APACHE 2.0.

Does it work with 2.0 as is?

I use cronolog to do this. Using cronolog keeps you from having to restart
the server every night.
