refresh classes

hi all,
there's something weird... when i change the code of my classes and 
replace the old classes of my web service by the new one, and even if i 
shutdown tomcat, restart tomcat and launch the service, it seems that it 
still keeps the old classes somewhere.
i added for example a simple System.out.println("refresh ?"); and it is 
never done. 

why ? what's wrong ? is there something i should know ?
