[Bug 6437] New: Mail::SpamAssassin::Client should be it's own
separate package on CPAN
https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=6437
Summary: Mail::SpamAssassin::Client should be it's own separate
package on CPAN
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Building & Packaging
AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
ReportedBy: mpeters@plusthree.com
The Mail::SpamAssassin::Client Perl module does not depend on any other
Mail::SpamAssassin::* modules to function but it is bundled with all of the
server libraries too. This prevents just the client module being installed on a
machine that doesn't want or need the whole spamassassin server package.
Please consider releasing it as a separate package on CPAN.

I'm sorry but I don't see that occurring. This is a fairly unique request and
the ability to download the tar and copy the single Client.pm to
site_perl/version/Mail/SpamAssassin/Client.pm seems simple enough for anyone
technical enough to desire this functionality.
