[jira] [Created] (UIMA-2643) DUCC command line interface (CLI) should eliminate use of Camel

Lou DeGenaro created UIMA-2643:
----------------------------------

Summary: DUCC command line interface (CLI) should eliminate use of Camel
                 Key: UIMA-2643
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-2643
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Lou DeGenaro
            Assignee: Lou DeGenaro

Presently, a plethora of jars to support Camel messaging transport are required on the client side for communicating with DUCC, in particular for the job monitor to listen for orchestrator (OR) messages for extracting job state information. It would be beneficial to minimize the number of jars required on the client side while providing equivalent functionality.

The job monitor is the only CLI module employing Camel presently, and the needed information can be obtained from either the webserver (WS) or orchestrator (OR) via HTTP.
