IntelliJ Idea does not compile the plugin because of the following path:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/plugins/trunk/maven-javadoc-plugin/src/test/resources/unit/quotedpath'test/
I know that this is an IntelliJ bug. But since the "'" is not very common in source paths, I suggest to rename is to something like "quotedpath-test".
So please run a short
svn mv https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/plugins/trunk/maven-javadoc-plugin/src/test/resources/unit/quotedpath'test/ https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/maven/plugins/trunk/maven-javadoc-plugin/src/test/resources/unit/quotedpath-test/

Without having looked into it, I think that the whole purpose of this test is to have the character ' in the path. So renaming the directory would defeat the meaning of the test.

Attachment: Renamed_quotedpath'test.patch
I created a patch and renamed all occurrences within the test code. Running the tests results in 17 errors - but those errors also happened before applying the patch. So I think the patch didn't break anything... But I am not sure...
