   I looked at the test and the operator code, and this doesn't intersect with that PR's code changes at all.  It's a relatively discrete test, only calling into the SVMOperator (which, in turn, only used mshadow call-outs) and check_consistency() from test_utils.py which I haven't changed.
   
   Ok, I ran this test in a loop in C++ debug mode and it fails about 1% of the time
