[users@httpd]What is the meaning of Parent Server Generation in /server-status??

Hi all,

 

What does "Parent Server Generation" means?? And how can I increase that ??

Coz I seems apache is faster if this number is higher.

 

Parent Server Generation: 0   <<my server

Server uptime: 11 hours 45 minutes 39 seconds 

Total accesses: 306871 - Total Traffic: 2.3 GB 

CPU Usage: u18.3 s4.95 cu.11 cs0 - .0552% CPU load 

 

 

Parent Server Generation: 4         <<my friends server , it is much faster
Server uptime: 1 hour 14 minutes 37 seconds
Total accesses: 1090285 - Total Traffic: 10.3 GB
CPU Usage: u283.055 s68.7656 cu.03125 cs.34375 - 7.87% CPU load
