[jira] [Created] (TRINIDAD-2435) Trinidad's date converter does not allow a separation of language and locale

Andrew Robinson created TRINIDAD-2435:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Trinidad's date converter does not allow a separation of language and locale
                 Key: TRINIDAD-2435
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRINIDAD-2435
             Project: MyFaces Trinidad
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Components
    Affects Versions: 2.1.1-core
            Reporter: Andrew Robinson

Trinidad uses MessageBundle and LocaleElements for i18n. On iOS and Mac OSX, the user's language may be different from their locale. This means that the month, day and other translatable strings should be in the MessageBundle, not the LocaleElements.

This may not be an issue with HTML in a browser, but is an issue when desiring to use Trinidad within a Cordova application and trying to use the native locale and language.
