   Thanks for your patience on this, @alex241728! Master moved `ChartRenderer` over to hooks and TypeScript since you opened this, so I rebased and ported your sessionStorage legend fix (co-author included) onto the new version to clear out the conflicts. Green locally, so let's see how CI feels about it.
