Jetspeed Stress Testing Tools.

Hello sir/madam,
I have installed jetspeed 2.1.

By using "JMETER" , I have done Jetspeed stress testing for home page.

For,  Is JMETER right stress tool?
OR any other tool (using perl language) ?
Please reply ,

And also What are configuration to increase the peformance.
Is stress testing depend upon RAM size,maxThreads,spareThreads,
minThreads.session timeout.?
