There were some Java tests added that verify the functionality works, but the python equivalent engine test IdleTimeoutTest#testTimeout is skipped during execution. It is likely that the behavioural differences fixed for 0.9.1 in PROTON-843 would not have existed in 0.9 if the main python test was actually running.
