error when trying to get a simple list of nodes
hi all,
I am trying to run a simple piece of code to get the list of nodes from
an aws account (actually the example from here:
http://jclouds.apache.org/documentation/userguide/compute/), however i
get the following error:
Exception in thread "main" com.google.inject.CreationException: Guice
creation errors:
1) No implementation for
com.google.common.base.Optional<org.jclouds.compute.extensions.SecurityGroupExtension>
was bound.
while locating
com.google.common.base.Optional<org.jclouds.compute.extensions.SecurityGroupExtension>
for parameter 32 at
org.jclouds.aws.ec2.compute.AWSEC2ComputeService.<init>(AWSEC2ComputeService.java:110)
at
org.jclouds.aws.ec2.compute.config.AWSEC2ComputeServiceDependenciesModule.configure(AWSEC2ComputeServiceDependenciesModule.java:93)
I read in a previous email that there might be a java related bug in the
new version (7u51)? that's the one i'm using also. Should i try a
previous version?
thanks,
george

yep, actually that was what triggered me to check the build path in
detail. thanks Ignasi!

Good to hear. Looks like Ignasi was right on the money about the deps
there... ;-)

Hi all,
thanks for your interest, turns out it was probably a jar issue. I used
jdk 7 u40, but this on its own did not solve the problem. I had
forgotten some jars (jclouds 1.6) i had imported manually before the
maven dependencies. I deleted them and it worked fine.
thanks again!
BR,
George

If you can use an older JDK version, that would be an easy option,
yes. Otherwise, you can use the latest snapshot of your choice. See

Hi George,
I think it shouldn't be the JVM issue. Could you share the jclouds
dependencies you are using?
I.
