Trying to try JellySwing

Hi list,

Sorry to send a kind of "user" question...
It runs out there is no other forum for the purpose.

I wanted to give a try to JellySwing, being generally interested by
Jelly but... had no chances...
Downloading jelly-swing per se (the jar) doesn't seem to have
executables. It's probably just a tag-library (note... I am a complete
beginner of Maven).

So, as the demo-example says... maven... ah download maven... try maven
demo:swing from whichever directory within the archive, having defined
the MAVEN_HOME, JELLY_HOME variables... I either get: "null" as sole
answer or an error saying the project file has zero length (yes...
there's not project.xml).

Any better clue would be appreciated.
Should I try first to be able to make a complete maven project then go
along using JellySwing as an obvious extension ? (is it not bundled in
the maven distributions?).

JellySwing seems to be the only one answer the following requirements:
-> offer an XML-based declarative UI-build language (like the many XUL
flavours)
-> support java manipulations of the components (i.e. not javascript,
contrary to XWT)
-> support extensible component set (sure... from jelly point of view)
-> have a non-intrusive license (... most others are GPL)
-> live in a place with "recommendable" people ;->
(oh, and lots of people also)

But it is early beginner... and I would be interested to using/fixing
and/or enahancing.

Thanks in advance and apologies for the long mail.

Paul
