[jira] [Created] (RANGER-2906) Provide a way to invalidate plugin cache and indicate if refresh is unsuccessful

Attila Bukor created RANGER-2906:
------------------------------------

Summary: Provide a way to invalidate plugin cache and indicate if refresh is unsuccessful
                 Key: RANGER-2906
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-2906
             Project: Ranger
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: plugins
            Reporter: Attila Bukor

RangerBasePlugin.refreshPoliciesAndTags() doesn't throw any checked exceptions so there's no way to tell if the refresh was successful and is indeed the latest data. It would be nice to know if the policy cache couldn't be refreshed and also to invalidate the cache if it's too stale.
