[jira] Resolved: (INFRA-2951) Authentication via LDAP

Mark Thomas resolved INFRA-2951.
--------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Roger,

Thanks for your offer but I am afraid what you are suggesting isn't acceptable for a number of reasons, not least of which is security.

The Thrift project will either need to find some committers to manage Hudson or opt for buildbot which is maintained by the infra team.

> I'm not an apache comitter... so I need a workaround to get the hudson CI up and running on my server at home(see THRIFT-853).
> The thing missing right now is, write access for comitters of the project, so that they can manage their jobs or create new ones.
> I would like to do have a admin account on hudson for myself and use hudson's LDAP plugin to autheticate and authorize the project members.
> Any thought's or proposals on that?
