   yes, I'm still using windows.
   
   I believe we should have a larger discussions as to how powerful the windows scripts should be, and whether we want to look into a solution where we can share more between unix/windows. This (and related) PRs are effectively duplicating existing scripts.
   
   This poses a maintenance problem both for keeping them in sync and ensuring that they actually work. We don't have windows CI, and I'd rather not have us rely on me (since no(?) other committer works on Windows) going through every single script each release.
