why activemq5.11 cluster performance is lower than the single machine

hi all,
I use two build distributed cluster configuration is the same machine,
activemq.xml is same.
After I find the cluster message per second speed is slower than the single
machine will be many, is this why? Or how to improve the speed of
communication between the two servers?
Thanks.

I use 1 gb of memory, 8 core 2.40 GHz CPU, network is fast
Don't tube machine configuration, because of the cluster and single machine
operation are all in the same configuration, you have not encountered this
kind of situation?Is my configuration problem?
next is my cluster conf:
<destinationPolicy>
    <policyMap>
    <policyEntries>
    <policyEntry queue=">" producerFlowControl="true" memoryLimit="10mb"
queuePrefetch="10">
    <deadLetterStrategy>
    <individualDeadLetterStrategy queuePrefix="DLQ."
useQueueForQueueMessages="true" />
    </deadLetterStrategy>
    </policyEntry>
</destinationPolicy>

        <networkConnector uri="multicast://default" />
</networkConnectors>

<networkConnectors>
        <networkConnector uri="multicast://default" />

<transportConnector name="openwire" uri="tcp://192.168.5.126:61616?

What do you mean by "cluster"? Network of brokers? Master/slave pair?
Something else?

What's your configuration? Your persistence store?

Thanks for including the version number, but you left out a lot of other
information if you want advice about performance (which is the hardest
thing to give advice about since there are so many variables).
