Test Units for Bugs 60682 and 60575

Hello,
Following those bugs:

   - 60682
   - 60575


We should add some unit tests to catch those kind of issues.
I suppose this would need to make a choice on

I admit I don't think I'll have time for it.
It appears Graham has started some work on it.
Do we stick to the initial idea of a poc or do we go for Spock ?
